We have used, baby powder, flour, borax and of course nothing seemed to help.
I have now started using peppermint oil mixed in a spray bottle with some water. That is working nicely.

A mixture of citronella oil and tea tree oil where they are coming in, ants really dislike the citronella, as do most insects, and the tea tree is an insecticide that has been used by so many households.

I found that by adding a few drops of honey or syrup in a two liter empty coke bottle, makes these little pests climb in and attack the honey. On the lid of the bottle I place a smear of Vaseline it makes it hard for them to climb out.

Not sure how far and wide ant chalk is sold. I was lucky enough to find a little shop down the road that sells this. However it only works for a few days then they back.

Sugar Ants To get rid of the pesky ants you simply take cinnamon and place it wherever you have noticed them and they will leave, for some strange reason they don't like it!!

Ants. Mix ant killer (borax powder, etc.) with sugar and leave near the nest, they will eat it and take the poison back to the nest where it will kill the queen ant. Make sure that young children and pets can not get near!!

On Sunday Gremmy and I went to ' Hillfox flea market "
There in a far corner was a guy selling a product called ' DUBLA ZONKE '
It is an ant killer, we got a bottle. And I mixed a batch up, at first I saw no results, but then the next morning NO ANTS... anywhere. I am going to make sure I have a bottle or six around the house..
The only hard part about this was the spraying...lol

Sunlight dishwasher poured in and around the nests seems to kill these pests off.

I have also found that adding yeast to your mix helps with killing ants.
