How sad, yesterday Firechild and I took her dog for some medical help at the local SPCA.
What a stunning lady ( Christine ) had to turn us away, however she looked as though she was about to cry.
They are no longer funded and she can't remember when last there was a vet there.
I really felt her pain.
It saddens me, that a vet is now just also chasing the money and not for the love of animals.
I read this article about how the SPCA has to rely on donations only. And with things as tough as they are in SA, no wonder the SPCA is hanging on by a thread.
Temper gets you into trouble; pride keeps you there.

I have been going through our local newspaper and am happy to say that things are looking wonderful for the Spca. They are running competions for a calender, they have a sponsor now. Their bakkie is riding again. I am so happy that they are building this organisation up again.

Motor bike fun in Sasol is also having an event that are donating all money made on that day to the Spca.
Bikers also get a badge.
This is all great news I hope Spca pulls up and we can help.

This is amazing to read.. I know for a fact that most S.P.C.A around South Africa have been having major issues.
I mean if each person in an area could donate R5, and all that goes to the S.P.C.A I am sure that it will make things so much easier for them all.

I know that most SPCA branches in JHB have fun days, and also book sales almost weekly.

That is good. I know the spca in vereeniging has books sales over the week ends at a shopping centre.
