UPDATE : For info on the Shows judges See this thread :
Okay .. so if you had to pick 3 judges to do Master Chef S.A.
Who would you pick??? Remember they have to be Well know in S.A. and should be connected to Food in some way..
Here are my three ...
Jeremy Mansfield (Former Radio DJ, and Cook book Author)
Reuben Riffle (Robertsons spice TV advert - Chef.)
Riaan Cruywagen (Newsreader since - 1979)

Lol .. Looks like Jeremy was approached in July about been a possible Judge for Masterchef South Africa. in his Facebook status he mentions Masterchef , Gareth (Cliff ?), and meetings..
Pity I missed this hint, Also the fact that this site has been getting hits since June for the Specific term "Masterchef South Africa".. I should have dug deeper then..
Now back to Gareth Cliff. He's busy with S.A. Idols, and also, why put two Radio DJ's on the same TV show about Food...
Jem is still my #1 pick....

Nice choice however.....
Jeremy is not a chef.. whhooo whoooo he and his wife wrote a book. Have they done food Demo's?
SA must have a look around for critics, restaurant owners and chefs.. not some one with just a bit of a name..
I am going to have a look at this now.. I mean I may as well be a judge.. lol

Argg .. Spent allot of time searching all the local sites for more info..
So far, Unconfirmed that Jem and or Gareth may be the Host, and nothing else...
I will however be checking daily for anything that may POP up, and report here on it.

Well today there was a Press Junket for the Good food and wine show, Where the Australia Winner Adam and Alvin were guests...
One of the press asked Jeremy (who was there too) about his involvement to South Africa Masterchef.
Jeremy's reply .. 'I reserve judgment'...
In a radio interview later, Jeremy did let on that while the different Production companies were pitching for the show, he was approached by both 'Curious Pictures' and 'Lucky Bean Media'. He also let on that with his limited knowledge of Food, he's not sure why he was picked out ..
I've a big suspicion that Jem will be at a minimum the Host ....

Funny thing is, although this info was available long before I posted, Looks like we were the first to announce it online (almost 24 hours before other top sites)..
Channel24 posted it on the 23rd Sep..
Omniscience and You put it online on the 22nd Sep..
And as noted before, So far Nothing else has been released..
It's still the long Wait...

What about Jodi-Ann Pearton? She has won every chaffing competion in Africa, is young, vibrant and knowledgable? She is also a truly passionate South African and knows the industry. Jodi-Ann writes for Avo, food and home and a bunch of industry mags, also saw her on home channel a few weeks back??

Well the audition are now on the way in November, with official dates and locations been released on the 24th October..
I'd venture a guess that the Judges will be announced at the same time...
