Official dates for the Auditions have been released..
Entrants going to the relevant city's need to take note of these dates and be sure to clear the whole weekend..
| Johannesburg | Saturday 3rd December 2011 at Monte Casino.
Callback auditions will take place on the 4th December 2011. | | Cape Town | Saturday 10th December 2011 at The Cullinan, Southern Sun Hotel.
Callback auditions will take place on the 11th December 2011. | | Durban | Saturday 17th December 2011 at Sun Coast Hotel and Casino.
Callback auditions will take place on the 18th December 2011. |
Try to get to the audition venue as early as possible as long ques are expected.
The rules: PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THESE.....
# All dish's presented have to be a cold dish, and NO COOKING will take place at the audition, You will only have time to dish up.
# Bring all your food in a Proper Cooler Box/Bag.. If the food is not kept properly cold, you will be disqualified.
# Use only plastic Tupperware, NO GLASS. Glass will not be allowed in.
# Bring your own PLAIN WHITE plate to dish up, and serve.
# You will be given a time limit to dish up and serve to a judge.
Entries are open to all, even if your vegan, vegetarian, Jewish, Muslim or Hindu, you can enter as the show is not about eating, but cooking. Therefore you must at least be able to handle and prepare dishes that may include among others pork, beef, shellfish, nuts and alcohol.
As far as I can figure from information given, Those that have preregistered on the site or sent in there entry forms will be fast tracked at the auditions.
Once your audition is over, if it was successful, a member of the production team will contact you. Note if you did not make it, you will not be contacted.
The competition will commence in January through to March, be sure that you are available for the full 3 months, else it's pointless entering.

Unity gave me the idea last night, and today I researched it a little and decided exactly what I'm going to do, I'm going to show case 3 or 4 of my own recipe cold sauces. All of them will be home made sauces, with fresh ingredients.. (most of them will be made the night before is small batch's...)

Ok so no glass... but a white plate???
Hope that people think to bring a glass plate and a plastic just in case lol

Hmm most plates are ceramic and not glass, and wont break into dangerous sharp pieces...
Think of it from the judges side.. your tasting 1000's of dishes, you want to make sure that the fresh Tomato Onion mix your eating was not in a glass container that broke on the way over. And the contestant did not properly check and remove all the bits of glass...
The plate on the other hand, if it breaks it wont contaminate your food...
