The JHB auditions was a little wicked, and hot...
While the auditions was to open at 9: 00 when I got there at 8:30 the auditions had already started..
The Que was long and a little slow, but then again with an estimate of over 500 people in the que ahead of me it was not too bad.. (pictures are posted here)
Film crews all over the place with random people been pulled into an area and filmed screaming 'Master Chef - Johannesburg'.. (and no I was not one)..
Once through the registration the back area has chefs preparing dish's, lots of give aways, and what looked to be a stage for a party later...
I unfortunately did not spend much time there, I was alone and was simply concentrating on presenting my dish before it warmed up. However.. Do look out for my dish..
As while I was preping it for presentation, I suddenly noticed a camera move in close to it.. (hopefully the shot will be used in one or other filler)...
Something to note: They were cutting off at 2000 entrants for JHB (not sure if they had too as I was long gone before then)
The initial Tasting was very impersonal, The only thing that the guy tasting my dish said to me was.. 'Go through that door' pointing to the exit, and there is where someone took my registration form and told me sorry, No Go, and was pointed out the next door and found myself practically outside the inner auditions area...
Hopefully some other members can fill in some more info...
