Unfortunately these days: Teachers are not properly trained to detect and pickup children with learning disabilities. Schools have little to no facilities for children that require that little extra help.

However I've recently found a group that has a list of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Remedial Therapists, Psychologists and more.

I hope that other find help from here too..

Hi Gremlin, Thanks for providing that info. I am sure it will help plenty. You are right schools don't facilitate learning disabilities like they used to.

To me it seems that even schools refuse to take note our children with learning disabilities.

Sometimes I wish I could get outside help to see how I can help my children. Sometimes they are so out of character, I do understand that it is part of growing up, but would be nice to know if their outbursts are normal or what the cause is.

Dam, now this is worrying, I mean one should be able to get that kind of assistance from the school.

Unity I am starting to believe that teachers are teachers only for the salary, it is hard to see the love for children in some of them.

I so have to agree with you on this, I mean a few months ago a youngster was naughty they finally landed up sending this 14 year old to jail.
They claimed they had no contact number, however after this child killed himself in prison all of a sudden they could find the aunts phone number.

This is so sad really.

Geez now this is sad. And I don't think jail is the right place for a child of that age.
